Information on the Scope of Personal Data Processing

Pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”), we hereby inform you that:

  1. The Controller of personal data is j‑labs sp. z o.o., with its registered office at ul. Zabłocie 43a, 30-701 Kraków, Poland (hereinafter referred to as “j-labs”). For all matters concerning the processing of personal data and the exercise of rights related to such processing, you may contact us in writing at j‑labs’ registered office address or via email at gdpr@j-labs.pl.
  2. Personal data is processed by j‑labs on the basis of voluntarily given consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR) for the purpose of sending newsletters, i.e., providing information on topics of interest in the IT world.
  3. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any of our emails or by contacting us using the details provided above.
  4. Recipients of personal data include:
    1. Entities authorized by law.
    2. Entities entrusted by j‑labs with the processing of personal data under agreements pursuant to Article 28 of the GDPR for the purpose of providing services to j‑labs, particularly IT service providers for technical support, and providers of services such as hosting or email marketing.

    The above-mentioned recipients are obligated to maintain the confidentiality of the data, even after the termination of their contractual relationship with j‑labs.

  5. When using IT service providers whose servers are located outside the EU/EEA, your personal data may be transferred to Third Countries or international organizations. The service provider guarantees that the data is transferred to a third country for which the European Commission has determined an adequate level of data protection or using standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
  6. You have the right to request from j‑labs access to your Personal Data, its rectification, deletion, or restriction of processing, as well as the right to object to its processing. Additionally, for data processed based on consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out based on the consent before its withdrawal.
  7. Personal data will be processed until consent is withdrawn.
  8. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, namely the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, in the event of any irregularities or non-compliance in the processing of your Personal Data.
  9. Personal data will not be processed automatically, nor will it be subject to profiling.
  10. Providing personal data in the form is voluntary but necessary to receive updates from us.
